If you love bridges then you are in for a treat. The marathon route has 43 of them to pass under or cross over.

Location: Guys canal side tavern, St. Michael's road, Bilsborrow, Preston, Lancashire, PR3 0RS
​
Course: Heading North along canal towpath for 6.55 miles and then return to Guys for 1/2 marathon. Marathon runners will then head South along the canal towpath for 6.55 miles, before returning to Guys.
​
The 10K will follow the same route as the half marathon but with a shorter turn point.
The Ultra (32 miles) will follow the same route as the marathon and then go back out to follow the 10K route.
​
There will be a 6hr time limit for all distances.
​
Course information: The course is on a flat canal towpath along the Lancaster canal.
Starting at Guys canal side tavern, runners will head North passing through Bilsborrow, before reaching the market town of Garstang. All runners will return back to Guys, with the 1/2 marathon finishing here. All marathon runners will then head South, passing the small villages of Woodplumpton & Swillbrook before reaching Salwick. Here all runners will return back to Guys for a welcome finish.
We will keep you going with sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke.
All finishers will receive a bespoke medal.

The good news is there is a pub at the finish. The pub also has rooms available if you wish to stay over and be fresh for the start.
